Any rail profile you like, but more importantly we make transition pieces for your existing stair (goosenecks, up-easings, etc.) including compound-curve pieces.

Mouldings

Short-run match-existing mouldings for replacement of your missing parts, from crown to shoe. We can even simulate hand-planed 18th-century mouldings.

Curved Work

Here’s where a custom shop like ours shines. There’s a lot of places you can buy straight mouldings– circular or elliptical mouldings? Not so much.

Entry Surrounds– Pilasters, Pediments & Porticoes

These are a major focal point for any structure. Often found in deteriorated condition, we can make replacement parts for yours, or a whole new one.

Exterior Cornice, Scrollwork & Brackets

Elaborate or simple, these decorative items surmount the façades of historic townhouses. Vented trims? Huge brackets and modillions? No problem.

Storm Shutters

We can match your original shutters exactly, as is so frequently required by homeowners’ and neighborhood associations these days. Any style, any size.

Porch & Landscape Railings

Any style or size. With square pickets, turned balusters, or flat-sawn plats. We can compute the spacings you will need to make your railings look balanced.

Paneling & Wainscot

From plain beaded tongue-&-groove to paneled systems, including the tricky kind that run up a set of stairs. That takes careful planning and individual attention.

Speaking of mantels, recently we’ve often been asked to make an upper portion of a fireplace to match the existing one, but designed to conceal a screen.

Cabinetry & Furniture Elements

With few exceptions, we don’t make whole cabinets. But we do make custom counter edges, pilasters, doors and drawer-fronts to incorporate into your project.

Automatic Instrument Cabinets

Easily some of the grandest things we have ever made. We have been hired to reproduce all or part of cases for player organs, especially Welte Orchestrions.

Vehicular Elements

Our shop has produced parts for historic sailing ships, smaller vessels, rare automobiles, vintage airplanes and street-cars. No balloon gondolas yet.

We have designed display cases for important collections of coins, tokens and medals, as well as executing demanding designs for historic clock cases.

Liturgical Joinery & Furniture

Altars, presider’s chairs, lecterns and the like are highly individualized. Our shop has produced accessories for sleek modern churches and venerable synagogues.
